Removed Post-Installation Optimizations, they are not necessary now. Removed ATA/PATA Support, These are completely unnecessary in modern computers with UEFI BIOS.
Warning 1: Installing El Capitan will break an existing NetHack installation.
The installation process moves files from /usr/games to /Library/SystemMigration/History/Migration-(some UUID)/QuarantineRoot/.
Warning 2: The currently available NetHack binaries are NOT compatible with El Capitan.
The installation is meant to go in /usr/games and fails because this directory is not available to non-Appleapplications under El Capitan.
For additional technical details, look for information on 'System Integrity Protection'(for example the Wikipedia article on SIP).There are several binaries available for the Mac; you only need one ofthe following packages.
